Where's the rest of my network?
I've got Windows 7 on a laptop, and am tryijng to "see" it as a computer on my home PC, which is running Windows XP. On the netbook I can see "media devices" on the XP machine, and I can play stored music files. But I don't see shared documents. Why not? What do I have to do to get shared files that aren't music? Thanks.

Open the Network and Sharing Center. Make sure the Network Type is Private (Home or Work). Click on Change Advanced Sharing Settings. Expand Home or Work. Make sure Turn on Network Discovery and Turn on File and Printer Sharing are enabled.Kerry Brown MS-MVP - Windows Desktop Experience
