When my windows desktop come up, I have recently started having it show a Windows Installer pop up and then Sonic Activation Module pop up.  I cancel, but it keeps coming back.  I don't know how I got this and don't know how to get rid of it!

I don't know how I got this and don't know how to get rid of it! It eventually goes away if I keep hitting cancel. Then the next time I turn on my computer it's back again

Hi iguanamama, ·What is the complete error message you are receiving with the error code if any?·What is the service pack installed on the computer?·Do you remember any recent changes made on the computer prior to the issue?·Do you have any Sonic software installed on your machine? 1. Check the behavior by booting the computer in clean boot state. You may refer the below link on how to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" state: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353If the issue does not persist you may continue with step 2 from the above link.Make sure you reset the computer to normal mode after the troubleshooting completes. Refer the section “Steps to configure Windows to use a Normal startup state” 2. This might be a issue if you have sonic application installed on the computer. Try uninstalling the program from the computer and check the results. You may refer the below link: How to change or remove a program in Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307895 Note that, if you want to install the program back you need to have the CD of the application.
