When does Microsoft plan on fixing Windows 7 so that it can be operational in an Educational Environment
I can't believe that Microsoft in their release of Windows 7 has changed the ability to modify and copy the Default user profile which is such a critical step in the setup of lab environments. Please do not talk about sysprep and the new Microsoft way. If you worked in an educational environment you wouldn't dismiss the validity of this necessary setup procedure. Read all of the forms on technet related to this user profile issue and you will understand the frustration of this community of I.T. people. Windows 7 was released to the public in October of 2009. The education community has continually complained since then to no avail. Sounds like Microsoft has just gotten to big for itself and doesn't care about the community of users anymore. I am adding myself to the long list of I. T. managers and I. T. people who are totally frustrated with Microsoft and their failure to respond to this issue.Sean Kenny

Hi, Thanks for posting in Microsoft TechNet forums. I’m afraid that’s by design in Windows 7. I suggest that you can send your feedback through Poviding Feedback to Microsoft or via Feedback|Microsoft Connect. Windows 7 development team will view your suggestion and improve that function in the future. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
