When computer starts up wireless connection takes about 10 minutes before it establishes.
My computer is an Acer travelmate 2410 laptop. Im running Windows Xp Professional. When the laptop first boots up it takes around 10 minutes for the wireless connection to establish. I have tried removing excess saved wireless conections in the connections list. I have also done virus/malware scans and all is clear. The only places i connect my laptop are at home and school. Same condition applys at both locations. Is it possible that the wireless card is dieing?1 person needs an answerI do too

Ill have to check on the wired connection but as for the Acer wireless utility star.... that utility is not installed. I only use WZC. Do you think that using the acer utility instead of the WZC could fix the issue?

HiEstablish whether it is a Wireless problem, or general problem by trying the Wire adapter. Many computers unbeknown to their users accumulate different application that set themselves by default to connect o the Internet and check for “”upgrades”” at boot. Those things are many times creating connection’s issues. Jack-MVP Windows Networking. WWW.EZLAN.NET
