When can you get your free Windows Upgrade?
It seems as though Microsoft has once again chosen Arvato to handle this, and once again they have the same mess they had with Vista. Emails telling you when it will arrive, and after that date, it still sits with no shipment. When you call and complain, you get another email now it won't arrive till the end of December.... This is true for HP, Dell, Toshiba, etc..So when is MS going to learn NOT to use this lousy company that gives out false information and flat out lies to you from India? "The shipment was delayed because we had to update some drivers for the 32 bit OS" is what you will hear. The only question for that is have you ever heard of Windows update? While on the phone with executive support for HP, the HP rep said they didn't know who was the one who hired and sourced this out. According to the "senior supervisor" for Arvato, it was Microsoft who hired them to do this for all the OEM's as it was a MS upgrade offer, not the separate companies. The sad part is, I can return the custom built laptop and have a new one shipped with Windows 7 installed, faster than Arvato can get the disk to me. That says a whole lot as to why MS should NEVER AGAIN use this company. If they cannot meet their obligated contract in a timely manner, fire them! Meanwhile everyone is getting upset with the computer manufacturers, when it is MS and Arvato causing the delay. If MS can't learn from their mistakes, then maybe the customers should.
