When adding a user or changing domains results in error, trust relationship with primary domain failed.
Just upgraded from XP Pro to Win7 Pro x64. Everything appears to be good, domain is correct, network computers are shown, network sharing looks good, and file access to server is good. But, when I try to add a domain user name to the machine, it locates the user in the domain, then it fails with the following error: "The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed." This trust relationship appears to be a configuration problem on the win7 machine itself. I have removed the workstation from the Active Directory and from the computer directory on the server (currently a Windows 2000 SBS, soon to be replaced) and I have changed back-and-forth to a workgroup/restarted to domain/restarted. I know this setup works as I am runing on another win7 x64 machine on the domain server. Any thoughts would be appreciated. I hate to think that I will have to reinstall win7.
