I have to agree with Bubba. I'm not usually one to praise Windows but I love Win7 so far, despite the many troubles I've had with it on our domain at work. Though I have to say I've got about 90% of them figured out. It's a great operating system. (Far better than Vista could EVER have been)

If your having problems ask a question before you point fingers. Sometimes your so-called "bugs" are nothing more than a security setting that needs configuring. (Which Vista and Win7 have an over-abundance of in my opinion) People on these forums are here to help you, you just need to ask first.

I ask how can i fix this?Should i increase the virtual memory to 40000? But i'm sure it will be same thing.I don't know what else should i do with this and i have 194GB free on windows to have from where to take space. If i had 10GB yes it could be that the problem but i don't have.

This is the Win 7 virtualization forum, and without a better description we really have no concrete idea about what you are attempting to do.Are you doing something in a VPC 7 VM? Are you doing something on a network? Are you using a custom application? The variables are endless and you have provided no detilas about your issue. All that I can determine is that you have an issue with a 200 Mb file when you handle it in a certain way - I can't extrapolate what that certain way is, and I have no details about the file, nore do I know that you have attempted this with Aero off (though you blame Aero).I also don't know if VPC is involved or if you are doign soemthing through an RDP redirected disk.Since this is a network issue - (I am making a big guess) did you disable power savings on the NIC?Again, the possibilities are endless.... You are trying to copy from Windows 7 into XP Mode or another VM? How are you trying to copy to/from the VM? Network folders, copy/paste, RDP shared drives?

Your issue needs to go to another forum - Miscellaneous possibly? I don't really think that you will get the support / assistance you are looking for in the 'virtualization' forum. If you upgraded - any number of things can happen - that is always the case. (it has been the case since Windows 3.1 - and Linux OSes do not upgrade totally clean either)."upload" - again all I know is it is a 200Mb file - "upload" can mean many thins. In regards to broken applications - yes, that happens - there are applications that even Windows 7 compatibility features cannot handle. (I know I have a few).Don't blame Aero unless you turn it off and your issue does not happen. Otherwise there is no idea what is causing your problem.Brian Ehlert (hopefully you have found this useful)

i start to hate windows 7. Eat a lot of memory witout reason.

Win7 has a very light footprint - it is applications and serivces that eat lots of memory.Specifically, poorly written or older applications.Brian Ehlert (hopefully you have found this useful)

If you find Windows 7 unstable you either have faulty hardware or something you've installed (or left installed in the case of upgrade) is incompatible.Windows 7, when cleanly installed and properly maintained, is the best pre-service pack release of Windows to date. It is rock solid stable and uses fewer resources than Vista. The only reboots I have seen BAR NONE are because of installs and Windows Updates. If you hate Windows I suggest putting some of that energy into fixing up your configuration and learning to maintain it properly. Start with a fresh Windows 7 install and avoid installing every toolbar and widget that you find for free. Also, disable the automatic functionality in Internet Explorer that loads Add-ons from every web site that's looking to infect your computer with adware/malware.I am starting to love Windows 7. It took years to get Vista and XP this stable, and (save for some shortcomings with Explorer) it's FAR more functional.-Noel

i just reinstalled windows 7 and i had same problem. Now i'm running windows xp and don't have any problems at all. Windows 7 still have bugs. With upgraded on day i still can't use all functions that i need it in 7. Maybe in 2-4 years windows 7 it will be best windows but now still remain xp.

Hi, We do not encounter such issues on our side. I see that other posters here do not encounter such issue either. It is most possible that the issue is cause by software conflictions. If you would like to confirm if it is a Windows 7 issue or other program related issue, you would better to describe the detail symptom and troubleshoot with some suggestions. You may boot in Clean Boot Mode and check the result. Perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your game or program If the issue persists please temporary remove your antivirus and see if the issue still occurs.Arthur Xie - MSFT
