The higher editions of Windows 7 support 192GB of RAM. There's no way that you can get that much RAM into the PC hardware available today.2. The maximum HD size that Windows 7 can support is *much* larger than any hard drives on the market today.3. If you had 23 hard drives, one for each letter from C to Z, minus one for a DVD drive, Windows 7 could support it, but you couldn't fit them all into any case on the market, nor could find a motherboard or enough add-in cards to support it.4. There are probably other reasons, but those are the ones that come to mind quickly. To put it differently, Windows is built for the future, and supports more than you could actually give it.-- Ken Blake, Microsoft MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) since 2003 Ken Blake
