What do I need to do so I can encrypt a folder?

First - do you understand the best practices. If you do not properly backup the key - you can (and likely will) lose data you encrypt if things go wrong. Windows XP _____ Edition with Service Pack _, __-bit? Start button --> RUN (No "RUN", press the Windows_Key+R at the same time) --> type in: winver--> Click OK. That will give you (picture at top) the full name of the operating system.That will give you (in the text) the Service Pack you have installed.
