What did the MVPs do with all our input ?
Hi Picsoe There is no list like you describe, that I'm aware of? We do have a feedback mechanism that the Forum Owner is operating at the following link. Have Comments about Windows 7 Beta? The posts to that thread are collected periodically by the Forum Owner and sent tothe Windows 7 product teams. Hope this helps. Ronnie Vernon MVP

Picsoe said: I think that my first post got lost somehow, that is why I post it again.Sorry for any inconvenience due to cross-posting. I'd like to invite the MVPs (the concentrators of our findings about Win7) to show us a list with the items that they have forwarded to MS so far. I'd like to see a list with the following categories: - Our user disagreements - Our suggestions for improvements- Our legitimate "why" and "why not" questions I'd like this list to show the above criteria with respect to :- The OS Win7- The OS Win7 compared to Vista (and it's SP2).- The accessories that come with Win7: Calculator, Snipping Tool, Paint, etc....- The fact that Win7 came without support for OneCare or free or Morro-beta anti-virus software, and that MS only suggested a couple of anti-virus applications with a very short trial period (after which the user will have to pay for a license) What about the free ones like Avast, Avira, etc?).- The miserable beta version of IE8 that came with the Win7 beta : there are RC1 versions available for download for all the other Windows OS-versions (including Win 2000 and earlier) but not for Win7 beta. - What about Win7 version 7025, and following, e.g. RC1 - are we beta-testers going to benefit from it? Etc, Etc, whatever they can come up with as useful information for us (the beta-testers or should I say theGuinea-pigs?) Thanks on beforehand to the MVPs for a nice wrap-up so far. These public Beta's are utilized to gather general feedback for Microsoft. As such, the feedback you will get for your suggestions will be seen in the final release or the next public beta (if there is one). With that in mind the MVP's don't work for us... Just thought I would point that out.

Any particular reason? Critical issues are reported back to Microsoft and if it warrants a response is posted to thread. Most of the feedback is send directly to Microsoft through the feedback tool (found on each windows) so the MVPs do not see these particulars. As for subjective topics, they are subjective. Everyone has an opinion (including myself) on how things should/should not be done. For Milestones:The feedback we get in the early stages of Beta will help enable us to discuss the next Windows 7 milestone. Our goal with Beta is to collect feedback and refine the features so we can deliver a great product that meets our customers needs.Have Comments about Windows 7 Beta? Joe
