What counts as inactivity?
With the normal settings for the computer to go to sleep after a certain 'inactive' time it only seems consider that keyboard/mouse are the only thing that matter but unreasonably often the computer is still busy doing some long job (like a full system virus scan). Is there any way to specify that CPU usage must be low (less than x%) before shutting down?It seems silly that you must go through so much to temporarily tell it not to go to sleep at all besides it would be better if it shut down after finishing what it is doing - did they only consider work stations?R.Peters

Hello R_J_P,You should adjust your power settings to match your usage style. In a lot of cases, user activity (keyboard and mouse) are the only indicators that the computer needs to be on. On desktops, I just set the power optionsto never sleep. On laptops, there are usually separate settings for 'when plugged in' and 'unplugged'. I have run into your same issue several times myself and I agree with you. However I can also see the other side of this. You are welcome to post your experience with this issue in this threadas a suggestion.
