What's wrong with Facebook ?!!
Facebook is not working at my Laptop at all .. That happened after i recieved a link from a friend on Facebook (Was not him by the way because i asked him if he did that or not) , the link was from "tinyurl.com" , suddenly after i opened this link , i got a fatal virus (Trojan i think) that shuts down my Laptop and caused serious problems to it .. Anyway i've solved virus problem , the problem i have now is that i can access all websites except "Facebook" , i have "Superantispyware" and "Malwarebytes" that helped me to solve virus problem and also i've been told that it can also solve Facebook problem but this didn't happen ... Also i've accessed Facebook through my computer (Not laptop) and i succeeded in that and didn't get any problem at all although it's the same router and network that i use for both (Wired for computer) (Wireless for Laptop) ... I googled a solution for that and tried all of them i think but no luck ... I have Windows 7 operating system by the way and i've tried accessing Facebook through IE ,Google Chrome and Firefox... Please if you need further information about anything , tell me so i can mention it !! Thanks and hope i get the right answer over here ... I just used "Find and fix problems" in System and security (Control panel) and clicked on "View all" on the left of window and then internet connection , entered Facebook url there and it checked that and got this result : Windows could not automatically detect this network's proxy settings. @Mr X : I don't have restore point though :S

Hello, proceed by one of these procedures: Restore your system state using a restore point that dates before the appearance of your problem Update your security softwares and perform a full scan on your disks to delete viruses / spywares / malware programs. Once done, perform a repair install (In-place upgrade of your OS) This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights. Ok, looks like you're behind a proxy. To make sure Facebook isn't added in the list of exceptions, open IE. Go to Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Advanced. Under Exceptions, make sure www.facebook.com is not added. If it is, delete the entry. Then try opening the website again. Even though we're making these settings in IE, sometimes these settings are universal and are also used by other browsers, in case you're wondering why a change has to be made in IE even though you're not able to open it with Firefox/Chrome. Revert back here if this does not resolve your issue. Hope it helps! @Mr X - Your points grow in the unit of thousands everday! Way to go pal!Kunal D Mehta - a Windows Server Enthusiast.

@Server Baba : In LAN settings (Advanced) , Automatically detect settings is selected. Down at "Proxy server" , use a proxy server for your LAN is not selected as all had suggested me to leave this blank unselected !

Ok, lets get to the basics. Are you using the internet at an institute or work place? Please type ipconfig /all at the command prompt and post the results here. If you are behind a proxy, it might be possible that access to Facebook might have been blocked. Also do a ping www.facebook.com at the cmd prompt and post the results here.Kunal D Mehta - a Windows Server Enthusiast.
