Weird network problem, cant connect to wireless when connected to ethernet
One of our users is running Windows 7 Enterprise on his laptop. When he is connected to the Lan he cant connect to any wireless networks unless he unplugs the Ethernet cable. When he is connected to a wireless network and plugs in the Ethernet cable the wireless network disconnects. Its not a urgent problem but it is a problem nonetheless. Any ideas on how to solve this?

Check the BIOS settings. Our HP notebooks have a setting lan/wlan switching which when enabled does exactly what you are describing.

Hi, Ensure the priority of the wireless network is highest: 1. Go to Network and Sharing Center. 2. Click “Manage wireless networks”. 3. Right-click on the wireless connection which you preferred and click Move up to move it to the top.
