Hello gwap903, From what I understand is that there can be two possible causes: you have installed Windows in a different language than your own, or your graphics card driver needs to be updated You can check the root of the problem by booting Windows in 'Safe mode', by restarting your computer and pressing and holding [F8] untill it asks you in what mode you want Windows to boot; select 'Safe mode'. If you still experience symbols in stead of your own language, than you've probably installed a language pack on your computer, or your graphics card is broken. If you don't experience the symbols once you have booted into 'Safe mode', than it probably is a driver-related issue. My advice to you is using a system restore point to restore your computer. Insert your installation media into your computer and boot your computer from it, this is typically done in the BIOS settings. Once in the Windows PE (Preïnstallation Environment): click 'Repair your computer' wait for your operating system to show up and click it click 'System Restore' click the most recent restore point at which you know for sure you didn't have this issue remember printing this guide if you're planning on doing this Watch out! If your graphics card is broken this solution will have no effect! Good luck, and I hope this information solves your problem. With kind regards, Laurenz
