Webpage viewing issue
Hi guys I have recently been working on a computer for my girl friend and what seems to happen is just randomly it wont view any webpages on either IE 8.0 or Mozilla Firefox 3.5 RC2 but she is still connected to the net because of we are still able to use MSN and any files that are downloading. Vista says that it is still connected to the net but when we go to diagnose and repair it says that the DNS can not be contacted. So I have reset the winsock I have refreshed the ip, re-added the wireless network and deleted the old one. I have tried flushing the DNS cache and registring the DNS cache I have updated her wireless card drivers but now i don't know what else I can do I know its only her computer because mine has vista on it and it works no problem Any further Ideas to try and get this to work would be much appreciated

Hi, Thank you for posting. Lets also check the following: 1. Check DNS: When the problem occurs, please run the following command: >nslookup >www.microsoft.com(You can also try other URLs.) Will the correct IP address be returned? 2. If you switch to another network, will it work without this issue? If the issue persists, please also check the event log to see if there are any related errors. Thanks. Nicholas Li - MSFT
