Web Browser Stops
IE will not download web pages unless I turn it on immediately after starting my computer, even then it sometimes stops after a while. I can receive emails OK using Explorer or Incredimail, indicating that my broadband connection is OK. Can you help me please?

You haven't given us a lot to work with, but let try restting it back to its default settings http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/923737. Be sure to scan your system for viruses/malware. What AV do you currently use? What's your current firewall. If you don't want to reset IE 8 back to defaults, then go into IE8/Tools/Options/Programs and click Manage Addon's. and disable everything. Restart IE8 and try it now, if it works fine then one or more addon is causing the problem. If it still doesn't work properly then run the sfc /scannow to see if it finds and fixes anything. Do you have any other security software running? You can try Clean Boot to see if a program is causing the problem http://support.microsoft.com/kb/331796 MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Add to cdobbs' suggestion, you can refer to the following knowledge base (KB) article for detailed troubleshooting steps: How to troubleshoot Internet Explorer issues in Windows Vista and in Windows XP (This KB is also suitable for Internet Explorer 8.) How to optimize Internet Explorer Regards, Linda
