WebDAV large file uploads fail using Windows 7 client
My Windows 7 Pro client cannot upload files larger than about 3MB to our WebDAV server at work which is running Windows Server 2008 R2. The same is true with my wife's computer which is also a Windows 7 box. A co-worker's Windows XP Pro laptop had no problem uploading a 69MB file to the same WebDAV server. On my laptop I have increased HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\WebClient\Parameters\FileSizeLimitInBytes to 2500000000 and set HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\WebClient\Parameters\BasicAuthLevel to 0 since we use Digest Authentication but these tweaks seem to make no difference. Has anyone been able to upload large files with a Windows 7 client? If so, did you need to do any configuration changes to make it work?

Hi, To disable firewall and antivirus first. It relates to the WebDAV client and check domain settings on Windows Server 2008 R2 again. Since WebDAV is based on HTTP protocol, youd better reset TCP/IP. To reinstall and reset TCP/IP (Internet Protocol): 1.Click on Start button. 2.Type cmd(without quotes) in the Start Search text box. 3.Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run Command Prompt as Administrator. Allow elevation request. 4.Type netsh int ip reset C:\resetlog.txt(without quotes) in the Command Prompt shell, and then press the Enter key. 5.Restart the computer. The thread you refer to never gets to the bottom of the issue but thank you for your suggestion. Note, I can upload files less than 3mb.Bill Flanigan, IT Support - Solar Energy International

Thanks for your suggestions but I do not understand the need to reset TCP/IP since I can upload files and folders - just not large files - and the issued can be duplicated on other Windows 7 laptops. Disabling antivirus did not fix either.Bill Flanigan, IT Support - Solar Energy International
