Way too many network adapters.
I'm running the 3-month trial of Windows 7 x64, and I've got way too many network adapters when I run ipconfig, yet when I go into the device manager I only see the defaults and the ones that I've installed (Hamachi, VMWare). How do I get rid of these extra adapters, or at least get them to not show in ipconfig?

Hi Jids, if you dont use IPv6, you can try to disable IPv6 and check the result.
Disable IPv6
========
1) Go to Control Panel - Network Connections.
2) Right-Click on the connection and click Properties.
3) Uncheck the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Version 6 in the list and click OK.
4) Please reboot the computer to see if it works.

This did not help for me.
There are 130 "Tunnel adapter Local Area Connection", ipv6 is disabled, unkown network device removed.
What are they caused by, we cannot see essential ip info

To remove the problem tunnel adapters download DEVCON.exe and run the following command:
devcon remove *6TO4MP
Ensure IP6 is disabled...
Not sure why this is happening, but that gets things up and running...

On W7 & WS08 6to4 Tunnel adapter are created if you have an IPv4 on a IPv4 private range. This 6to4 tunnel interface is not created on IPv4 range like
: 10.0.0.0/8, 172.16.0.0/12, 192.168.0.0/16, and 169.254.0.0/16.
One way to prevent 6to4 to be autoamtically created is to use the following command
netsh interface ipv6 6to4 set state disabled
It may be necessary to perform similar action on the teredo interface
netsh interface teredo set state disabled
