WPA2 not shown in wireless configuration on Windows XP SP3 system
Have a Windows XP Home Edition w/ SP3 installed. Now decided to upgrade my wireless security and find that while WPA-PSK is shown as a choice when configuring the wireless, WPA2 is not shown.I verified I have the updated driver for my wireless card (Belkin F5D8000) and it can use WPA2, and have my other PC's using it successfully.Looked on sites for solutions, which included uninstalling driver w/ reboot, and just reinstalling. WPA2 still does not appear. What else can I do to resolve this?Emachines T6003 w/ AMD Athlon 64 3000+3 GB memorySP2 was preinstalled, I applied all updates including SP3 as made available.1 person got this answerI do too

You forgot to tell us the make/model of your router. It sounds like you have an elderly router that doesn't support WPA2.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Its a Belkin Pre N router, but confirmed that I can have my other machines connect w/ WPA2-PSK. Definately not the router. They are able to connectwhen WPA2 only.

Sorry but I don't know. I would check with Belkin tech support. I'm sorry that I was unable to help you.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
