WPA-PSK Problems
I am trying to connect to a wireless router that runs WPA-PSK. I am using the WPA personal setting in 7 since all the research I have done suggests that is correct. 7 says that I am using an incorrect password, but I know it is the right one. I cannot alter the router settings as it is a work connection.Since it has correctly found a number of wireless routers, I know the card drivers are working and the card is operating. This morning it identified the router as running WEP, which I know is incorrect.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Does it login to the router under WEP?

No it is not configured as a WEP router and so the password is wrong.

If the wireless router is set to Visibility Status: Inactive(this is a way to hide wireless router but 7 sees it without a name), maybe you typed the wrong name ofyour router. My wireless router is using the same option and when i tried to connect 7 asked me for the name of the router and then paskey and then i was connected. Also my wr is using WPA-PSK. or... check your mac address and see if it`s the same, because some network cards when u reinstall them they change their mac address (that`s strange but it can happen - i was enable to see it my self on some computer from work.) Eg: "Visibility Status The Invisible option allows you to hide your wireless network. When this option is set to Visible, your wireless network name is broadcast to anyone within the range of your signal. If you're not using encryption then they could connect to your network. When Invisible mode is enabled, you must enter the Wireless Network Name (SSID) on the client manually to connect to the network." Sry for my bad english !
