WMI service needs 15 minutes to start
Hi On my system the WMI service (Windows Management Instrumentation) had 15 minutes until it worked properly: - "Windows Management Instrumentation Service started sucessfully" event occurs right after start - "Windows Management Instrumentation Service subsystems initialized successfully" event occurs after 15 minutes Even though mail, Internet and network access worked right away without any problems, a service of mine which uses localhost (IP stack) also had 15min. until it started... I restarted my system several times without any improvement. I then unplugged my system from the network and both (WMI and my service) got started immediately. Afterwards I plugged my system again and both services are running properly ever since! Because I had the same issue in the past it's probably just a matter of time until the issue occurs again. Does this make sense to anybody?

Hi, Regarding the issue, I suggest that you could try to temporary disable the Superfetch service. Then check the issue again. Or you could check this problem in Clean Boot in order to determine whether this problem is caused by third party software or service. If the issue persists, I suggest that you could audit the WMI service to find some clue about this issue. Please take the following steps to enable Audit Policy: 1. Click Start button, type gpedit.msc in Search Bar. Press Enter. 2. Move to Local Computer Policy-> Computer Configuration -> Windows Settings -> Security Settings -> Local Policies ->Audit Policy. 3. Find the item ---“ Audit directory service access”, double click the item. 4. Check “Success” and “Failure”. Press OK. Then check the Windows security log which related the WMI service after you start up the computer. Find the Audit Failure log then post the detail information here. Hope that helpsPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Thank you for helping me. -> Superfetch service doesn't run on my machine (manual) -> I enabled Audit Policy as suggested I just faced the issue again. Here's what I tried: - I can't see anything related to WMI in the security log - I restarted the system twice without any success - Afterwards I started in Clean Boot (Load Startup Items cleared) and now it worked! - Restarted the system again as Normal Startup and it still works... I've also seen that ever time it doesn't work my network doesn't seem to be ready (Internet, Mail, Network-access work though): Now as it works the blue circle is gone... Any other hints?

Because I don't know if I even need the Windows Management Instrumentation service I simply disabled it. Now even after a restart my network is ready (no blue circle) and all the other services which used to take up to 15 minutes are running immediately.
