Yesterday my internet security system firewall gave me a warning that said that WMI was trying to access my computer but that the publishers'digital security certificate is unsigned. Then it asked whether I wanted to allow it or block it. i choose Block in case it was an infected file The exact file is wmiprvse. I looked it up and it is a microsoft file. Does anyone know what this file does and understand why a microsoft file would not have its certificate signed? My computer seems to work fine so far. I woudl apprecaite some advice.
