WIndows 8.1 problem with mouse on dual screen

I have a Samsung ATIV 9 Pro notebook with all the latest drivers and Windows 8.1 Pro license.

Now i want to connect my ATIV 9 notebook on a second screen
I only want to see my second screen because i will work on that screen.

The problem i have is that my mouse will freeze / disappear all the time when my display settings will only display on the second screen. When i change my settings to display it on both screens (externa monitor and laptop monitor) then i will have no problems with my mouse.

Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.

Thnx Bart

Hi,

The laptop is connected with a USB 3.0 Cable to a port replicator. This port replicator is connected to the monitor. I have tried a VGA cable and an HDMI cable. The cable makes no difference, the problem still is the same.

The Hardware Event Logs are empty, There are no logs in that folder.
The Application logs have a lot of logs.
Most of the logs are standard logs, but one log will show several times

This is that log:

I have this exact same problem with a Dell Inspiron.  Happens with a port replicator or directly from the laptop.  Mouse pointer disappears/flickers when the screen is set to Second Screen Only.

It happens with both one or two external screens, and only if set to Second Screen Only.  If I choose Extend, there are no mouse problems.  Unfortunately that means I have to leave my laptop screen open in case something opens over there, instead of using the external monitors only as I want to.
