WIndows 7 Ultimate and OpenVPN and Public, Home, Business Network..Desperate for help..
I have Windows 7 ultimate and never had a problem with this for past several months upto past week or so... I'm running openVPN and when I log into any server it automatically sets that network as Public and give me no internet access with that network. I don't know how to change it to Home or Business. I don't want it to automatically set as Public. Its causing a conflict. As of one week ago or so this started happening out of no where. When I used to log into any of the 25 servers it would always ask me what network Home or Business or Public and I would pick home or business and it would work the way it should. Now all it does it default to public and it wont let me change it. This is causing me huge problems and I been trying to look up a solution for days without luck. I have uninstall several windows updates and hopeing one of them caused this issue but so far it doesnt fix the problem.. I'm desperate for any help, I cant use the service due to this issue. the openVPn also installs a TAP 8 adapter which installs fine and no driver issues. This all worked perfectly in the past but as of last week or so it doesn't work at all. Its driving me insane.. Any help is greatly appreciated..Thanks all...

Hello,Try to change your networking settings manually:1. Click start button->control panel->Network and Internet->Network and Sharing center.2. In the "View your active networks" section, click "Public network", then select Home network.3. Uncheck the option "Treat all future networks that i connect to as public and don't ask me again".
