WIndows 7 BETA : Here is a tip if it fails to load or boot.
Hi ALL,I thought I would share this tip with you all that has worked for me. :-)SAFE MODE and all other attempts at loading WINDOWS 7 BETA failed when I proceeded as follows.
Press the F8 key while booting to get the advanced boot menu.
Select the repair option at the top of all of the options.
Open a CMD COMMAND window.
Type in the following .>> BOOTREC /REBUILDBCD
Type EXIT or close the command window.
Restart the computer but select SAFE MODE.
If step 6 is successful then shut down windows properly from the START menu.
Switch on your computer again and try BOOTing or loading WINDOWS 7 BETAas normal.
Regards,JohnP.S. Prior to the above I was getting various things happening like the LOGIN screen was freezing / WINDOWS 7 BETA freezing immediately after typing in my password / a frozen WINDOWS screen but no moveable mouse pointer ( just the WINDOWS 7. For Testing Purposes Only. Build 7000 as usual in the bottom right corner ).For links to VB.Net tutorials see here.>>
