WIn7 Pro on HP Pavillion with embedded WiFi Ralink Nic will not stop spawning virtual nic that causes errors
On this HP with the embedded WiFi nic i get performance errors in evt logs as well as troubleshooter due to 1.5 seconds. I also get 8.9 seconds and error for Foundation Driver do to file WUDFdr.sys not reloading after BSOD for that length. If there a place to change the trigger for a 1.5 sec error to a higher value. If I delete the Virtual Nic it installs every boot - if I disable it still reports error is why I ask the info about the Foundation Driver I know is in the wrong forum but I can not seem to get it resolved and even the service is timing out and hanging whatever is dependant on it, But Question is is there any means to increase the performance log report threshold to a value higher than 1.5 seconds. OR a way to have Win7 Stop autoinstallling a Virtual Nic?

Windows cannot correct hardware problems. You need to contact HP Technical Support. I have a Ralink WiFi card in one of my laptops and it works perfectly under Windows 7. Do you really think people are going to be inclined to attempt to help you if you come to a Microsoft forum displaying contempt for Windows and a bad attitude? Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. Hi, I think you could reinstall the driver for your computer. And as you said, it’s caused by the Ralink Nic, so if the issue persists, I suggest you can contact the HP technical support for further help.
