Hi there,

A defective motherboard has corrupted the MBR of at least three USB rives that I use to install O/S's.  I no longer have the DVD's.  How can I repair them?

It also affected the OCZ SSD primary drive...

All help ius appreciated...

Hi,

I am afraid that we have to reformate the USB disk to get MBR back on your USB drives.

But the data on it will lose.

Commands you can use to do so:

    DISKPART
    LIST DISK
    SELECT DISK 1               (here my flash drive disk no. is Disk 1)
    CLEAN
    CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
    SELECT PARTITION 1
    ACTIVE
    FORMAT FS=NTFS         (Format process may take few minutes)
    ASSIGN
    EXIT
