I have installed and reinstalled windows media player but for some reason every time I try to share media to my external devices (ie: my PS3 or XBox 360) it won't work. What happens is when I get to the share media screen and select share media and then hit OK, instead of listing the devices to share the media with it just sits there for a several seconds with the OK button turning grey, and then eventually just resets back with the OK button turning back to blue again and nothing happens. I know it's an issue with the Windows Media Player but I have no idea how to fix this problem. If some one could please help me it would be much appreciated. Right now I am running Windows XP Professional. The media sharing used to work I'm not sure what has caused it to stop working.
