WINDOWS MAIL in Windows 7 MEESS!
HiAnyone know how to re-instate WINDOWS MAIL [not Live Mail] before I switch to Linux (which I already was re-tryaling) ?I have downloaded Thunderbird but it is very messy to iomport everything - especially from Windows BLOOMING LIVE mailI am very tired and I have already wasted many hours just to upgrade my Laptop and then I found this HUGE MISTAKE by Microsoft and I am not surprised 'many' are using Thunderbird already!Thank youVERY ANGRY (it is now about 24 hours!) - ruining my health and I may even sue Microsoft - I am not joking - there a thing called Welfare and they cannot mess with it!IT IS JUST NOT RIGHT!I wrote to Watchdog at BBC already and I will go on.This is so childish and also the fact you own a Windows 7 licence and then you do not OWN your own computer!Thatnks to TrustedInstaller security - I know what I am blooming doing with my computer and I do not need Microsoft to FORCE lecture me, when I did not request it.Why not add an option and a/or also a download of Windows Mail (not LIVE!) - I could not find it.

HIwhy dont you want to download windows live mail its better than windows mail and you can import your folders from windows mail.Dont cofuse it with the old windows live mail which is now called windows live hotmail.The new windows live mail is a desktop email program just like windows mail but gives you the opertunity to use it to access web mail if you want to.It is ok I have tested it with pop and with smtp and all is well. I used the same methods to test security that i used to find the embedded tracking in the home page of www.microsoft.com for webtrends and it seems ok and there appears to be no embeded code which people seem to think there is.Its just a good email client and its free.I dont understand people who demand choice and free software the complain about it.malc

I would love to have someone walk me through the necessary steps to send email. I cannot receive nor send. I have Vista Home Premium and microsoft 7 is loaded onto my new laptop I need basic instructions...go to tools...click on properties...but then what? I do not know what to type in the following places: what should my default be?server? Port? SSL? Protocol is in there somewhere too. I'm sooooooooooooooooooofrustrated and my business is suffering at the hands of the microsoft gurus. I would sue if I could afford to get off my computer long enough. I'll gladly give me phone number to the right person who can talk me through this. thank u!

They are the ultimate source of its removal. 2) The only thing I see as childish here is a rambling tantrum. 3) If you spent as much time describing your problem as ranting, someone might be able to help you. 4) Windows Live Mail is a downloadable desktop application with all of the functionality of Windows Mail, plus some enhancements. 5) The fact thatWindowsMail is no longer included and that one needs to download either Windows Live Mail or install the app of their choice is hardly news to anyone who did even minimal homework before choosing to upgrade. Hi Kellysonshine,Basic instructions are right here on my website: http://www.winuser.co.uk/Guides/adding_an_email_account_to_windows_mail.htmlWhat you do need to know is the POP/SMTP insturctions for your ISP. You should be able to find this out by visitng your ISP's website, clicking on Help and typing in 'setting up email in windows mail.'John Barnett MVP: Windows XP Associate Expert: Windows Desktop Experience: Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org;

What people keep on saying is they want windows mail. Not windows live mail. You know - the one you have to download and install from the demented windows live site. Windows mail. The one that comes pre-installedon your system without the extrafudge that comes with windows live mail. Windows Mail. No installation. No downloading. No deselecting thefudge from the web installerthat comes with it. That's what people are talking about.
