WIN7 reboot with MS Updates throws machine fonts into Wingdings; unreadable at any level as all screens and directories same issue
I reconstructed my C:\Windows\Fonts folder with a copy of fonts from another machine. I still can not read anything. Even in regedit, same fonts on all screens. Wingdings. Do you have a utility that will fix the registry, and fonts folder? When I checked I had over 2,000 FONTS in the fonts folder when this happened. Is there a WIN 7 limit on number of fonts? Short of a wipe-and-start-over-clean-WIN7-rebuild, there has got to be a way to fix this. Thanks; Bob E
