W7 RTM: Cannot use Remote Desktop/TS Gateway, Outlook's Autodiscover and MOSS Document Libraries from behind an Internet proxy
Somehow, I cannot access any of my company's internet services from behind my customer's Internet proxy since I've installed Windows 7 RTM. It appears as if only Internet Explorer is using the proxy settings configured there, while in Windows XP they all used the same proxy. To be clear, I can't use Outlook's Autodiscover functionality to add an Exchange server that is available over RPC/HTTP. I can't access a remote server using MSTSC over Terminal Services Gateway. And I can't open a document or folder from an externalMOSS 2007server. Strangely, nobody is complaining about this. I have no local firewall or Virus Scanner running.

Hi When you access a remote server, is there any error message? Please let me know the exact error message.By default, "windows firewall" is enabled on Win7. Please try the following steps to turn windows firewall off:a. Click "Start"->"Control Panel".b. In "Control Panel", double-click "Windows Firewall".c. In the left panel, click "Turn Windows Firewall on or off".d.Choose "Turn off Windows Firewall" in "Domain network", "Home network" and "Public network".Thank you.

Thanks Denisxu,But, yes, the firewall is turned off in all three zones, and I have already disabled the virus scanner to make sure it wasn't interfering. Upon connecting to the remote server, it immedially returns with the error that the Remote Desktop Gateway server address is unreachable or incorrect. This makes me think it didn't even try to use the corporate firewall. Notice that we've tried the same thing on a Windows XP and a Windows Vista machine and in both cases everything works as expected.
