Vpn connected but with no connectivity
I have Windows Vista Buisness 64 bit with SP2 running on my workstation. I have created a vpn incoming connection through the internet with specified ip addresses. I have created a network connection on my laptop which runs Windows XP. I have turned both firewalls off to eliminate complications. My laptop will connect to my workstation but cannot find the workstations computer name, shared files or ip adress when I use search or run. The laptop connection status shows that it is connected fine with correct ip address. The workstation shows that my laptop is connected but its status shows not connectivity? If anybody has any answers to this, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hi raymt82, Thanks for the information. Can you perform the following on both of the computers in your home. Start, Run, CMD, OK to open a command prompt:(For Vista type CMD in the Search box after Start) Type the following command: IPCONFIG /ALL [Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.] Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.Paste the results in a message here. Thanks!Shawn - Support Engineer - MCP, MCDST Microsoft Answers Support Engineer Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think
