Volume level 0, zero, doesn't stop the sound.
Greetings, I have installed Windows 7RC on this Toshiba, Qosmio laptop. Everything is fine, except for the volume control. I watch video podcast. Most viewers allow there own volume control. If I turn there's all the way up, then take the volume control of the OS, I can still hear them talking. Most of the podcast viewers volume isn't loud enough. This is the only odd thing I have found. And I am very happy otherwise. W. Kirk Crawford Tularosa, New Mexico

So does your qosmio have a realtek sound chip? I guess it depends on the model, but anyway www.realtek.com.tw has nice drivers. You could experiment with them to see if it helped.

Mostly, the issue is a driver problem. Please download and install the latest driver to test the issue.
