Voloview Internet Explorer (avviewx.dll)
All our clients use autocad, because we use voloview as previewer we need to install this.
Everything works but IE 8.0 open all .dwg files in IE 8.0 instead of downloading them or asking if we want to "open" "download"
How can we disable this plugin?
We tried to disable it through add-ons but it isnt there. we tried to set de .dwg extension to autocad but this doenst help either.
What we want is to click a .dwg file and open this in autocad this used to work but after our upgrade to windows 7 and autocad 2011 and voloview this problem comes.
it has something to do with avviewx.dll but we can`t seem to disable it in IE 8.0....

Hi,
Since Voloview is the product of Autocad, I suggest asking AutoDesk for further help:

Is there any way to disable them in IE 8.0 if there not in add-ons?

Hi,
If it not appear on IE 8 add-ons, you can disable it by removing this software.
Also you can try:
Running IE with NO add-ons:
Click
Start, copy and paste Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) into
Start Search box and press Enter. Change the cookie settings and have a test.
And reset IE:
1) Open
Internet Explorer.
2) Click
Tools---
Internet Options.
3) On the
Security tab, click Default level button for each icon in the
Select a zone to view or change security settings.
4) Click to
Programs tab, and then click the Make default button if it is not grayed out.
5) Click to
Advanced tab, click Restore advanced settings button in the
Settings area.
6) Click the
Reset button in the Reset Internet Explorer settings area and Click
OK.
7) Click
Apply, and then click OK.
