Voice audio slowing down completely after taking caller off hold

When receiving some inbound calls and placing the caller on hold when retreiving them off hold the voice audio slows right down to being not understandable. Place the caller back on hold then retreive the call one again the audio goes back to normal speed. Has anyone else experienced this? We are are using polycom cx600 phones lync 2010, software rev 4.0.7577.4372 on all our phones. Issue is very sporadic and doesnt occur on every call.

Thanks.

Hi,
Does this happen for all phones?
You can try to install the cumulative update for Lync Phone Edition for Polycom CX500, Polycom CX600, and Polycom CX3000 telephones: January 2013

We are expriencing the same issues.  The users experiencing the issues describe the voice sounding like "Darth Vader" after they take the call off hold.

We have applied all of the latest updates to both the servers and the clients and still experience the issues.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Has anyone resolved this issue? I'm experiencing this as well. Updating phones did not solve the problem.

Thanks.

Hi Guys,

Check out the new firmware http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2918038 which lists as one of it's fixes:

"Voice is distorted when you resume a call from hold by using Lync Phone Edition for Aries telephone "

Thanks

I see that in the latest update.  Hopefully that addresses the Polycom phones as well.

Hi John,

The Aries family of devices include Polycom CX500/600/3000, Aastra 6721ip/6725ip, and HP/SNOM 4110ip/420ip Lync phones.

Found this information here: http://blog.schertz.name/2012/03/troubleshooting-lync-phone-edition-issues/

Cheers

I apologize, I totally read it wrong. I read it as "Aastra".  I digress.  :)
