I have two workstations, one Vista Business SP2, and one Win 7 Professional SP1, on the same domain at work with my User Directory both pointing to my folder (the same folder) on the file server and when I look at a file (for example, and Excel or Word file) that I updated on the Vista system I do not see the changes when I look for them on the Win 7 system. I see the same file but the recent changes do not show. I use the same login for both workstations (domain admin). We use Windows Server 2008. Does Vista "hide" the data files somehow? I've had this same problem occur when i migrated a workstation from Vista to Win 7 recently; the user's current data files located on our file server for the Vista system did not show up when the system was converted to Win 7. Some data was as much as a year old. Any idea on what is causing that and how do I fix it?

Hi. I am glad to hear that. If it's not too much trouble, can you post the problem and solution and mark it as the answer as well for the benefit of others who stumble upon this post? CheersMiguel Fra | Falcon IT Services, Miami, FL www.falconitservices.com | www.falconits.com | Blog
