Vista vs Roaming Profiles on AD Windows 2003 Server
Help on Roaming Profiles !!! I have Windows 2003 Server Domain Controller with Active Directory. The Users are with Roaming Profiles. The computers of the Company are Windows XP and 2000. Im testing a new Laptop computer with Windows Vista and I have two problems. The first is when I Log Off the computer is taking too long (35 min) to log out. The second is when I change password is taking again too long (25 min) to change it.

check the size of the profile. I am not sure how that may affect the password change. But if the profile is large, it will take a long time to synch with the server. actually, now that I think about it. We have 2 Vista Buisness systems and My system was always taking about 5 to 8 min to synch, both log off and logon. We disabled it on my system cause I don't have time to wait, I ahve to reboot a lot (tech system). The other, takes about 10 min or so to synch, but doesn't get rebooted a lot. We have rebuilt that profile a couple of times. We have not taken the time to try and research it. Still a large profile will take a long time to synch accross the network.
