Vista to Win XP remote desktop will fail if I atttempt to set up a second VPN connection
I can succussfully set up at home via a wireless connection a remote desktop connection from my Vista home Premium laptop to my desktop computer at home that is running XP professional. The moment though that I try to set up a second VPN network the remote connection dies. Is the ability to have remote desktop connection set up to a host PC that also has a second VPN set up to someplace else a supported capability? Do I need to set up something in tools to allow me to do this? I tried two different ways. First I logged into my Win XP desktop and created the VPN connection to my place of employment. I then went to my Vista lap top and tried to establish a connection to my desttop. I get a window that pops up telling me the it cannot find my desktop. Second I set up a remote connection between my laptop and desktop. This works just fine until I try to set up a VPN connection to my employer. I lose the remote connection. Now if I go to my desk top and log in I see that indeed the VPN connection to work has been established. It is just now I cannot work via my laptop remotely. It appears that once the second VPN is set up I lose the remote destop connection. Any advice anyone may have here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark
