Vista not picking up wireless card...
My wireless was working fine until I updated my computer using Windows Update last week. Now everytime there is a new update to be installed my wirless card disables. I am using a hp pavillian dv2000 with the factory wireless card. With this last update, I had to plug it into the actual land line. Now my wireless isn't working at all, and I am unable to access the HP Wireless assistant. The computer is also failing to pick up the wireless card.

Hi, This behavior occurs if the network adapter driver is corrupt when update. Please follow the steps below to reinstall the adapter driver. Step1: Remove the corrupted driver ======================= 1. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "devmgmt.msc" and press Enter. 2. Expand "Network Adapters", double-click on the entry of the wireless network device. 3. Click the tab "Driver", click "Uninstall". 4. Click Start. In the Start Search box type "appwiz.cpl" and press Enter. 5. Remove the entries related to the wireless network adapter. Step2: Download the latest driver ======================= Download the driver from the following website. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=1817074 Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. This contact information may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this third-party contact information. Step3: Reinstall the driver ===================== Please reinstall the audio driver. If the issue still occurs, I suggest that you temporary disable the anti-virus and firewall and then check the result. If the issue remains, the new device driver may have issues. I suggest that you contact HP support to confirm if it is the case, and if we need to install the old driver that came with the computer instead. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/contacthp?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=1817074&os=2093&lang=en Hope it helps.
