I map a drive on in Vista to our 2003 server and it maps fine. After about a minute the mappings tur to a red cross but the mapping is still there. If I open the share, it works fine and the mapping is back, green and all, for about a minute when it turns to a red cross again. If a program tries to access the schare it works fine as long as the share is green but not when it is red and crossed. What it this and why does it work when I manually opens the share but not when a program tries the same thing?
