Vista internet connection issues, new connections don't work, old ones still do.
I've been having this really weird problem with vista ever since I installed it a couple weeks ago.For whatever reason, after my computer is on for a while (mutliple hours, about 2-4 but I haven't measured exactly) the computer just all of a sudden won't allow anymore new connections, or if it does, it has a lot of glitches in it (such as a picture that the first half loads properly, then the picture is garbled with nonsensicle pixels, then the rest is white after that). Often, if I try to, say, connect to my router to check it when this issue happens, it shows me a lot of text that appears to be code off the router itself (or code it sends to a web browser, hard to describe)However, applications that are still running, such as MSN Messenger, xfire, ventrilo, etc, are all still working 100% perfeclty. When the issue is happening, it is difficult to make new connections to any program (they rarely do make it, however), including the ones mentioned directly above. However, if they don't get disconnected, as stated, they still work perfectly fine. This, to me, is what's making it hard to actually diagnose the problem. It's not just the network cutting out. It is the network not making new connections, but the old ones being perfectly fine. I've exhausted my limited expertise on networking trying to figure out what it is, and it seems my nforce3 chipset motherboard is to blame, but I cannot even begin to say if this is the actual reason. If anyone knows any possible reasons for why this would be happening, it'd be greatly appreciated.I'll provide information if it is necessary, but the only things that seem pertinent are that the mobo is an abit nf8-v motherboard and that vista is completely up to date. I'm using the built in NIC and...yeah...any ideas?
