I'm running Vista Ultimate SP1 on a Dell XPS 720. Internet access is via a satellite broadband provider (Hughes Networks). After moving from XP Pro to Vista I noticed erratic/slow performance on access. Numerous trouble tickets to Hughes, could not find a cause. However, I came across a TechNet Article (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb726965.aspx) which discussed the compound TCP (ctcp) tuning parameter which is turned off by default. I enabled this and appear to have resolved by download speed problem. Upload speed was unaffected by the change and remains slow. Is there another paramter that I need to tweak for upload/transmission on high latency networks? Thanks in advance, Clayton
