Vista does not remember network password
I do not know if this is by design or a bug. Several builds of Vista including 5728 cannot remember the username and password for access to shared resouces in networked computers. The username and password were remembered during a single session. However, if I reboot the computer and try to access the shared resouces, I was asked again for the username and password. Any comments or hints?

Try this... Go to user Accounts, On the left side is Manage your network passwords. I've used that and it remembers my passwords for network logons. I'm using Build RC1 Build 5600. Is that how you did it? Thanks

At least through RC1 this problem existed and has been bugged (several times). The only way to store cached credentials is the other solution mentioned here (through Manage Network Passwords).

this is why people hack your software... You make the essential parts of your program cost extra, so when someone actually knows how to do something, and they want it done, they have to pay 2-3 hundred dollars for that "feature"THIS IS *********GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!!!MORE PEOPLE ARE USING LINUX BECAUSE MORE PEOPLE HATE MICROSHIT AND YOUR F$$$ING MONEY HUNGARY SCHEMEBill, I read the letter you wrote back in the day, when you were addressing the issue of people "stealing programs" when you WERE giving it away in the first place. There was NO copyright on anything prior to that, and you tried to make people feel bad for sharing??You should be ashamed of yourself.all about the money huh. dontcha wish you had the following that linux has? dontcha wish it would make you look elite to know how to use windows?any dummy can use windows, and any dummy can really fu<k up a computer.fitting isn't it?michaelcallin u out.
