I have an Windows XP machine (home edition) running a hardware raid 1 array of 5 x 250GB drives. I have shared the volume that mounts this drive with various other XP devices, and can connect to it from my vista machine, but when I try to access the contents of the drive I get the message \\servername\sharename is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this network resource. Contact the administraotr of this server to find out if you have access permissions. Not enough server storage is available to rocess this command.On the XP machine, I use exactly the same user-id and password. The two machines are in the same workgroup. I can see all of the non-RAID shares with no difficulty. The NTFS permissions are set to allow default read access. Any ideas would be appreciated.
