Vista cannot access XP on network
Hey guys, I have two desktop conneted via a wireles to the network. One is runny XP pro and the other on is running Vista Home Premium. The XP desktop is able to access the vista comp and even use the shared printer. However, vista comp detects the XP on the network but cannot access it. Everytime i try it gives me an error message " Comp is not accessible you might not have permission to use this network resource. Can someone Help me figure it out.

Hi, Thank you for your post. I would like to confirm the following information with you: 1. Are you using Simple File Sharing to share folders on the Windows XP machine? 2. What is the exact wording of the error message? Since the pop-up message should include certain reason of the Logon Failure such as user account restriction. I would appreciate it if you can capture a screenshot of the error message for further research. In addition, please try the following suggestions to resolve the issue: 1. Please enable the Guest account on the Windows XP machine. 2. Please create an account with the same user name and password on both Windows XP and Windows Vista machines.
