Vista and IP communicator
Could someone please let me know if Ms Vista (all versions?) is compatible with Cisco IP Communicator 2.x? If not, when is Cisco/Microsoft likely to make this happen?

Andrei It is currently not supported. However, the latest communication I have from Cisco as of last week is that it is only now in testing phase. No release date confirmed at this stage, however they are aiming for March this year. So I guess we just have to watch this space... cheers Kojo

The experience from my net admins indicate you need a clean install of Vista (we used enterprise) before installing the new version of the IP communicator.. cheers

I used vista ultimate and IP communicator 2.0.1.02.However it seems that the IP communicator does not work well.I looked up in the cisco web site. It said the new version is compatible with vista Business and Enterprise and said nothing about Ultimate version. So I wondered whether the U version could be compatible with IP communicator.Thanks.

Guys You need IP communicator 2.1 to work with Vista. We use enterprise. But I am certain it should work with all Vista flavours. You just have to test it. Unfortunately, the only way to source this to consult with your cisco vendor. I was lucky to secure the Alpha. We have been using 2.1 since June on Vista testing and it works well. fyi...To obtain the discounted product or free, you need to have SASU registration to qualify. cheers Kojo

I checked the edition of my software and saw that I had made a mistake yesterday. The cdp version is 2.0.1.02 and I thought it was the software version. My software was already 2.1.1.0. And then I downloaded from the cisco web-site and re-install it once again. Unfortunately it did not work either. Just now I opened the software and checked the STATUS MESSAGES and other parameters and then I was surprised to find that it had registered!! I tried to dial my cell it's good. But when I closed the software and re-open it. It has never registered again...I have been completely confused. The Status Messages contains these messages, I wondered if it was useful:Error Verifying Config Info.CTL updated failed.
