Vista administrator denied access to features...
Hey guys, I work tech support for HP and I'v run across this issue several times, as well as knowing people with other types of notebooks and pc's having the same issue. I know that the UAC is supposed to pop up and require admin access to run certain features, but there have been several times where someone (as the sole owner/operator of the pc) clicks "continue" on the UAC box, and it still denies them access saying something to the effect of "the system administrator has shut down windows features" or denied access to a specific feature... The only solution I've found to this is to run a system recovery...but there has to be an easier way than this... Any ideas??

SOLUTION: The registry key for the appropriate user under HKEY_Current_Users had the administrator value as NO. Change this to YES and it will work.

I Have the same problem, but I cannot find the HKEY-Current_Users that has administrator value in it. Is there a way to create one (and if so, where exactly would I place it?)
