The same thing happened to me . my windows explorer keeps locking up and everything is very sluggish and slow. Games wont even play. I `d say microsoft is the culprit and i hope they have a quick fix! Tell me if you have found a solution to this problem.i have not yet uninstalled the updates yet.

I have had a problem with these updates too, but mine is when i restart my computer and it says configuring updates. It gets through stage 1 and 2 alright but when it gets to stage three it takes hours to get to 100% and then i have let it sit there for over 12 hours. i have a reasonabally fast computer so processing time shouldn't be the problem. Any Suggestions Zac

I have the same issue, IE7 and Outlook are the two biggest offenders for this lock-up. If I don't use these two for a day, then the machine will run for days with no problems....Until I re-boot.Nothing will wake the PC when it goes into this odd state (Mouse works, Num-Lock etc work) CTRL-ALT-DEL doesn't work, hibernate doesn't. Powering off is the only solution. Yet, for me I have low CPU usage and low HDD usage when it 'bogs down'. Also there is NOTHING in the event log to suggest a problem...I'm stumped, and I guess MS are too as there are no suggestions as to a fix, other than the std restore (I haven't added anything other than Vista Updates!)
