Vista Update Error Code 8000ffff - new problem
Hello I'm aware that others has asked questions about this error code before, but their problems dont seem to be the same as I have. I simply cannot install ANY updates using the automatic update-program. I get the 8000ffff and a line saying: windows could not search for new updates. It's a brand new computer, so I'm kindda distressed to have these faults. It has 2gb RAM and Windows Vista Home Edition (danish) installed on it.I hope there's a solution for me.Thank youRegardsJeppe AaenDenmark

Joson I have applied your suggestion to my costumer brand new Windows Vista Home Premium, Inspiron Dell laptop. Before removing the key I had the error 8000FFFF but after removing the key I got this error code 80004002 I really would like to see Microsoft taking some serious steps regarding this error code and release an update.I see a lot of complain on the google but no word from Microsoft. They must realize when people buy brand new computer and right out of the box they get the error message, they will think twice and might even return the product. I think is important that this issue is being addressed by Microsoft ASAP. Any other ideas how to fix this Windows update error? Thanks, Zad

Hello, FYI, I had the same issue with error code 8000ffff. I tried the solution suggested above and it did not resolve the issue on my computer. Before applying the solution, it took a few minutes to receive the error when I checked for new updates. Now, I receive it almost immediately. I have uploaded the requested files to the Microsoft server and named the file bgblktruck.zip. Thank you, Andre
