Vista Ultimate 64x upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium
Hello. I have pre-ordered a copy of Windows 7 Home Premium. And my concern is that the only DVD disc included is the 32x as in the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor it claims I'll need Windows 7 Ultimate to do an "upgrade" otherwise I'd have to do a clean install. I have no problem doing a clean install, I have plenty of media to back everything I need up before the clean install. But I'm pretty sure that the only DVD going to be included will be the 32x one. Does this mean if users such as my self will have to order a copy of the 64x disc, like you have to do with Vista Home/Premium/Business? Because as far as my knowledge goes,it isn't possible to even install a 32x over a 64x. BUT I want to KEEP running 64x because my memory ammountgoes beyond32 limits. And finally, as I am pretty sure this shouldn't be an issue, if I end up being able to use the "Upgrade option" off of my Vista Ult. 64x, will I be able to re-install Vista Ultimate (and re-activate once it's no longer in use on previous HDD) and continue to use my Vista copy and have Windows 7 running on the extra HDD?
